On May 21, 2015, from 4:00 until 5:00 PM, the District Education Improvement Council (DEIC) will be meeting at the Bowie Learning Center located at 900 N. Elm Street in Weatherford. The meeting will take place in the large meeting room. The DEIC is a group of stakeholders made up of parents, community members, teachers, and administrators who meet throughout the school year to receive information and provide input regarding a variety of district initiatives. One of the items on the May agenda will be the gathering of input for 2015-2016 application and utilization of Federal Title I funds. Crockett is one of five schools in Weatherford ISD that benefits from those supplemental funds to assist in improving student achievement. Should you be interested in joining the meeting on that afternoon to participate in providing input, please contact the district’s Federal Program Coordinator, Deana Lopez, so that we can plan for your attendance and provide you with information for your review prior to the meeting. It's time for Kindergarten Round-Up! Join us at Crockett Elementary (1015 Jameson Street, Weatherford, TX 76086) on Thursday, April 16th - from 9:00-11:00 a.m. refreshments will be served, and from 6:00-7:30 p.m. we will be serving pizza. Please bring: parent/guardian driver's license/I.D., child's birth certificate, shot records, social security card, proof of residence, and your incoming Kindergartener (must be 5 years old by September 1st)! Teachers will be on hand to complete a quick readiness screener with your child. We can't wait for you to become a part of our Crockett family!

Please join us for the 1st Annual Crockett Elementary "Donuts with Dad & Muffin with Mom" event on Friday, March 20th from 7:00-8:00 a.m. in the Music Room. Complimentary pictures will be taken, and you'll be the first to shop at the Book Fair!

We invite you to visit our Scholastic Book Fair and experience a celebration of reading that provides families the opportunity to get involved in a universal mission: encouraging kids to read every day! Please click on the attachment to access the flyer.

It’s simple - think of a book that meant something to you and give it to a friend, teacher, younger student…anyone! But, before you share your book, bring it to Miss Fincher in the Library so she can take a picture of it. Then, she will post your book on the Library’s Twitter account (@CrockettRoos) and share the title with #BookItForward for Kid President to see.

If you would like to participate, you have until the end of the school year to #BookItForward just ONE gently-used or new book. Crockett’s goal is to have 100 kids share 100 books before summer break!

Crockett Elementary PTA is sponsoring a Chocolate Fundraiser to support student activities! We are excited to offer the $2.00 World's Finest Chocolate Bars, which features 5 items, including: Pure Milk Chocolate Bar, Milk Chocolate Almond Bar, Crisp Bar, Milk Chocolate Caramel Bar, and Dark Chocolate Bar!

Weatherford ISD is committed to providing a quality educational experience every day for our students. Occasionally, the weather becomes a factor beyond our control and can cause changes in the daily schedule. We know that closings can cause problems for families; therefore, weather conditions are carefully reviewed before classes are cancelled, started late, or dismissed early. School personnel and transportation plans are in place to assure the well-being of students affected by the decision to dismiss students early.

Crockett students, led by music teacher Trisha Weaver, put on an amazing tribute to our past and present day service men and women! Thank you to all of the Veterans, friends, and family that were able to join us in celebrating this special day!
