Friday, October 30th is Crockett's annual "Boo Roo" Character Day! In preparation for your child's costume, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Students must be able to sit, walk, breathe, see, and hear; no masks that cover the face.
- No pretend "prop" weapons such as water pistols, knives, swords, fake blood, or gore.
- Costumes may not be offensive or inappropriate in any way.
- No bare midriffs or "revealing" clothing.
- Any costumes that will disrupt the routine of the day (including PE) will not be allowed; appropriate shoes must be worn.
- The final decision on all costumes will be made my administration.

5th Grade Students and Parents/Guardians, Please join us for a Camp Grady Spruce Meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday, September 29th) at 6:00 p.m. in the Library!

Miss Fincher will be hosting a 6th Grade Book Club in the Library each Monday and Wednesday during lunch (12:30-1:00), beginning October 5th. The book we will be reading is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Students who choose to join will be expected to adhere to the attached reading schedule, and we will follow up with group discussion and activities during our meetings. At the conclusion of our club, a Hunger Games Watch Party will be held in the Library on Thursday, November 12th from 3:45 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. for all who complete the book.

Crockett Elementary's annual flu shot clinic will be held Friday, September 25th from 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. in the Library.

Weatherford ISD’s partnership with the Parker County Hospital District in offering these shot clinics makes protecting your child against the flu safe, easy, and convenient. The flu is serious, but it is also preventable – and the flu vaccine is the best way to protect your family from this illness.

Parents wishing to have their children vaccinated will need to complete the attached consent form and return it to their child’s campus – or – bring it with them to one of the scheduled clinics within the district. Parents do not have to be at the school for the student to have their vaccine as long as the permit is completed and returned to the school nurse prior to the clinic.
