Are you a Crockett student interested in helping others in our school and community? Would you like to work towards making our school a better place? If so, you are a Future Ready Crockett Roo, and we would love to have you be a part of our Student Leadership Team!

The final decision on Future Ready Crockett Roos members will be determined by teachers and administration. If you are not chosen at this time, please do not be discouraged! This team will be ever-changing, and we will have plenty of other leadership opportunities available throughout the school year.

Join us for our Veteran’s Day program, next Friday, November 10th at 8:30 a.m. in the Cafeteria. Students should wear red, white, blue, or camouflage on this day. Also, if you have a loved one who is a Veteran and would like them to be featured in the slideshow, please send a picture to Mrs. Whitman by this Friday, November 3rd!

A goal of Weatherford ISD and Crockett Elementary is to encourage a LOVE for reading!

As part of a district-wide Roos Read Book Challenge, all Roo readers are encouraged to self-select books THEY want to read and keep an in-class record of all books they read throughout the school year. Click on the link above to check out the "Roos Read Challenge - Parent Letter" and learn more!

Friday, October 27th is Crockett's annual "Boo Roo" Character Day! This day will be fun-filled while focusing on the importance of making healthy choices! In preparation for your child's costume, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

- Costumes must be appropriate and masks are not to be worn.
- No pretend “prop” weapons such as water pistols, knives, swords, fake blood or gore.
- No bare midriffs or revealing clothing.
- Any costumes that will disrupt the routine of the day (including PE) will not be allowed; appropriate shoes must be worn.
- The administration has the final say on all costumes.

Crockett Elementary will be hosting an Open House Family Night on Thursday, October 26th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.! Our teachers and students are so proud of the amazing learning that has been taking place this school year, and we want to share it with you! Bring your families to see all of the wonderful things happening in our classrooms and stop by the Book Fair to shop!

We are so excited to be bringing back our Fall Carnival this year! Join us Friday, October 13th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. for food, games, and a silent auction. Invite your family and friends for a night of fun. This will be our fall fundraiser, so we hope to see everyone there to support our CROCKETT ROOS!

- In order to have a successful carnival, we need as many helping hands as possible. We are asking each grade level to donate various items for auction baskets, as well as candy and drinks. Please click on the link above to see how you can help out!
