Karen Redmon- Fine Arts Teacher

Welcome to Crockett Fine Arts!

A place where creativity is nurtured, passions are developed, and confidence is built.

Crockett fine arts is a special place where students will explore and learn elements of music, art, and theater. Students will also have several opportunities to take part in both classroom and in larger scale performances. It's going to be a fantastic year for our Crockett Roos!

“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere." -Albert Einstein

“The arts are an essential element of education, just like reading, writing, and arithmetic…music, dance, painting, and theater are all keys that unlock profound human understanding and accomplishment.” -William Bennett, Former U.S. Secretary of Education

About Mrs. Redmon

This is my 11th year teaching and my 4th year at David Crockett Elementary. Prior to moving to Weatherford, I taught in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. I have taught 4th grade for 8 years, 1 year in 5th grade, and spent 1 year as a WISD Virtual Academy teacher. I have a master's degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in literacy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and a bachelor's degree in education. Before switching my focus to education, I spent several years studying theatre arts in college and am truly blessed to be able to use my passion and knowledge as Crockett's fine arts teacher.

My husband and I have three wonderful daughters. Anna is in 7th grade at Tison, Lily is in 3rd grade at Crockett, along with Kimber who is in 1st grade. We love exploring new places, going on adventures, and spending family time at home.
