Crockett Elementary Quest Information

Quest, WISD’s Gifted and Talented program, is designed to identify and support gifted students in grades 2-5. The program offers a specialized curriculum tailored to meet the needs of these students. Each week, students participate in a learning environment that emphasizes depth and complexity, allowing them to engage in advanced exploration and critical thinking.

When a Quest student is out of their regular classroom, they are responsible for:

• missed readings
• long-term projects/assignments
• tests over materials that have been previously covered
• inquiring about content or concepts introduced

All communication regarding Quest will be sent to parents through ParentSquare. You’ll find Quest updates, important information, and all the latest posts on your child’s school feed.

• Unit 2: Research Proposals (Oct.-Nov.)
• Unit 3: Research Process (Nov.-Jan.)
• Unit 4: Project Design (Jan.-Feb.)
• Unit 5: Presentation Development (Feb-Mar.)
• Unit 6: Presentation Skills (Mar.)
• Unit 7: Self-Reflection and Analysis (Apr.)

Throughout each unit, students will develop essential skills tailored specifically for gifted learners. These "school-ready" skills are designed to help them understand their unique abilities and build competencies that will be valuable for their future academic and personal growth.
