Instructional Intervention Teacher
Hello! I am so excited to be a part of Weatherford ISD and Crockett Elementary as the Instructional Intervention Teacher. I grew up not too far from Weatherford, in the little town of Bryson, TX. But my family and I have been on the move for many years and have lived in multiple states while my husband was coaching college football. We are so happy to be back home and close to family and friends. My husband, Robert, is now the Defensive Coordinator for Weatherford High School. We have two grown children, Noah, who recently graduated from Hardin Simmons, and is starting his teaching and coaching career with Weatherford ISD, and Noel, who recently graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in Human Resources and is employed with a Healthcare company. We also have one granddaughter who is the absolute apple of our eye.
I received my bachelor's degree from Midwestern State University and my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Southeastern University. I received my Educational Diagnostician certification from Lamar University. I started my educational career as an elementary school teacher, then I moved into teaching and coaching at the middle school level and then into the high school level. I eventually made the transition into special education and became a middle school campus Reading Interventionist. From there I became the Campus Instructional Specialist, helping teachers plan differentiated instruction to best serve all students. Before moving to Weatherford, I was an Educational Diagnostician serving Frisco ISD. I feel truly blessed to be here and I can't wait to grow and learn with this campus! Go Roos!
