Welcome to Mrs. Cagle's Second Grade Class! I have been teaching for 22 years and joined Weatherford ISD in 2007.  I received my degree at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX. 19-20 Back To School

Welcome Back to School!  So excited for a new year to begin.  We will continue to build our math skills this year.  Assessments will begin in September for all grade levels.  Good Luck and I will see you in the hallways for now!

18-19 Welcome Back

It is that time again to get back to school.  I am so excited about 2018-19.  We will begin the year with our assessments in the Aimsweb and AMC math programs. Every student will take these benchmarks.  The data from the assessments will be used to guide instruction so that every child will make growth during this school year.  Remember to practice those math facts!

Summer Break

Another end year has come and gone.  I hope everyone has an awesome summer.  Please remember to practice those math facts.  See you in the fall.

Middle of the Year Assessment Window

January is the district's mid year benchmark assessment period.  January 9th through the 19th is the BAS and AIMSWebPlus (Reading and Math) Assessment time.  Each student will be assessed to document growth and performance abilities.  Also, January 22nd through February 2nd will be another math assessment given to students from kindergarten to third grade individually.  Please ask your child's teacher to share the results of these mid year assessments.

Thanksgiving Break

Please enjoy your Thanksgiving Break.  Remember to practice your math facts daily to stay in practice for school.  Hope you get some good rest and come back ready to learn.

Friday October 13th

Today is a great day for the 2017 Crockett Carnival.Hope that everyone can make it.  Lots of fun and treats for everyone.
Math Benchmark testing is now complete.  Our next Benchmark will be in January.  Hope that everyone will begin working on their math facts to prepare for the next testing round.  

Welcome Back!

I am so excited to begin the 2017-2018 school year here at Crockett Elementary.  It is going to be a year full of fun, learning, and building relationships.  Math is a passion of mine and I hope to be able to transfer that feeling to your child.  I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us! 
During September we will be assessing all students with the AIMSweb Math Program.  So try to practice those math facts at home to be more prepared.  This is going to be an awesome year!

Summer Math

Well, it is that time of year again.  Have fun this summer, but remember to continue practicing those math facts for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.  Also, remember that you can work on Think Through Math and Symphony during the summer.  Be safe and have a great summer!

Camp Crockett - Math and Literacy Night

Camp Crockett Night will be Thursday, March 9th, from 5-7pm.  Please join us for a fun night of math and reading activities with the whole family.  Make smores, grab a hot dog, listen to campfire songs, stop by the Book Fair to shop, and so much more.  Hope to see you there!


Please join us for Crockett Family STREAM Night!  What is STREAM? STREAM is science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and math.  These are all areas of learning that our kids need to be comfortable with to excel in the future.  STREAM makes creators, thinkers, problem solvers, doers, innovators, and inventors!
STREAM Night is Monday, January 30th, at 6:00-8:00 at Crockett Elementary.  See you there!

Second Semester Begins

Welcome back, students!  I hope everyone had an awesome break!  I hope you are rested and ready to begin math classes again.  
During the month of January, Crockett Elementary will be having a STREAM Family Night.  This will take place on Monday, January 30th, from 6-8 pm.
This evening will be very special because your whole family can meet at Crockett and participate in science, technology, reading, engineering, art, and math activities.  Some activities will include make and take opportunities.  Please plan now to join us.  See you there!

The first semester is about over.  Unbelievable!  Have a great two weeks break, but remember to count everyday.  Practice those addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts!  Next semester will be amazing!!!

It is hard to believe that the end of the second six weeks of school is just around the corner.  Students are making great improvements in their math skills.  
Remember, Think Through Math (3rd-6th),and Symphony Learning (K-5th) are computer based math programs that can be access from home.  Please, encourage your child to login from home.  Moby Max is another computer based program that is used to promote fact fluency.  You can easily access these programs using the Symbaloo at the top of this page.
