Welcome to our PK4 - Montessori Special Education Classroom!  

 

Welcome to Crockett Elementary! I am Melodie M. Bourassa, M.Ed..  I am a Montessori Educator, certified in Early Childhood, and an EC-6 Texas Certified Teacher.  Education is life!  As an artist, musician, gardener, and life long learner, being with children and sharing the beauty of our world, is a way of life for me!  It is a joy and a pleasure to be of service at Crockett Elementary. 

 

Bringing the Montessori philosophy of inclusion, coupled with an unwavering dedication to personalized learning, my goal is to provide pathways to support all students. A Montessori classroom celebrates diversity, fosters individuality, and utilizes effective tools and proven strategies, in an environment where every child can flourish. At its heart, Montessori education is built on the belief that each child possesses an innate potential that is waiting to be discovered, then explored. In the context of students with special needs, this philosophy has even greater significance. Whether it’s through hands on materials, movement, or sensory integration techniques, a Montessori classroom provides a safe and nurturing environment where all students can develop essential life skills and greater academic proficiency.  Together, lets' have fun, learn, and find unique ways for your child to grow!  It is going to be a great year!
